Painted in situ.  The work shows one arch of the Pont Neuf viewed from the river, with town and the Pont Vieux visible through arch to right.  To left river bank and houses. The Pont Neuf was planned in the 18th century to run north-south opposite ‘les Lices’ but remained unbuilt until 1866.  It is a powerful structure with the rose coloured glow of the local stone.
